Deal Realty is again taking part in the VFW Memorial Day parade in Lewiston. This year's event begins at 11 a.m. Monday, May 28.
"Our float will be a small tribute to the soldiers who have fallen, but instead of handing out giveaways during the parade, Deal Realty will be picking up clothing and nonperishable food donations for vets along the parade route," broker/owner Tom Deal said.
Deal Realty's goal is to collect items in the parade and hopefully fill the float with donations for area vets.
The agency also will be stationed at the end of the parade in Academy Park during the Memorial Day ceremony. In addition, Deal Realty is now accepting donations at the office located at 451 Center St.
This initiative has inspired other local companies to assist Deal Realty in serving as additional drop-off locations this year. The additional locations are:
- Farmers Insurance - The Paul Hutchins Agency - 245 Portage Road, Lewiston
- Chris Fit Gym and Personal Training - 4600 Witmer Industrial Estates, Niagara Falls
