A fixture within the Niagara County Community College athletic department for more than 13 years, Lee Wallace was inducted into the Athletic Wall of Fame at a ceremony on Wednesday night on the College's Sanborn campus.
Wallace, the former athletic director at NCCC, helped bring regional and national fame to the college, implemented a master plan that would allow NCCC to add new sports, created new positions, increased scholarship funds, updated facilities and assisted in rebranding the athletic teams as the "Thunderwolves."
Wallace spent 19 years as an assistant professor of health and physical education at NCCC. He currently serves as the Town of Niagara supervisor. Wallace has also spent 40 years as the town's director of recreation.
