Kenan Center to present 33rd annual Storrs All High Photo Show

For the 33rd year, the Kenan Center in Lockport will present the Storrs All High Photo Show, featuring photos by students from 19 high schools from across Western New York.
This year's show opens Sunday, April 22, with a free public reception from 2-5 p.m. at the Kenan Center House Gallery, 433 Locust St.
Awards will be presented at 3 p.m. Gallery hours are noon to 5 p.m. weekdays and 2 to 5 p.m. weekends. The exhibit continues through Sunday, May 11.
Participating schools are Akron, Amherst, Barker, C.W. Baker, Cassadaga Valley, Cattaraugus-Little Valley, Depew, Kenmore East, Kenmore West, Nardin Academy, North Rose-Wolcott, Palmyra-Macedon, Pioneer, Southwestern, Springville Griffith Institute, Sweet Home, Tonawanda, Williamsville East and Wilson.
Sixteen category awards will be presented, including: Best School Overall, Best of Show, Student Processed and Best of Show Commercially Processed; black and white, color, urbanscape; landscape, floralscape, portrait, waterscape, computer generated, still life, journalism/ documentary; sports, architecture and animal. In addition, one student from each school is recognized with a merit award.
The exhibit is named in honor of Lockport artist William Storrs, who passed away in 2005. An accomplished artist and long-time contributor to visual arts programming at the Kenan Center, Storrs was instrumental in starting the All High Photo Show, which was designed to showcase the photographic work of high school students throughout Western New York, and was an active participant in the installation of the works as well as the awards presentation.
