Lewiston Democrats to honor John Jacoby

The Lewiston Democratic Committee is recognizing Town Board member John Jacoby as its Democrat of the Year. Jacoby took office Jan. 1. He is a retired battalion chief with the Niagara Falls Fire Department.
"John is doing an excellent job on the Town Board," said Diane Perri Roberts, chair of the Lewiston Democratic Committee. "He is diligent, well prepared and works well with everyone."
Jacoby was twice a recipient of the Levy Award, the Niagara Falls Fire Department's highest award for valor. He built his own home in Lewiston 20 years ago.
Jacoby is married to the former Eleanor Sparacio. They have a daughter, Julianna, and two grandsons. Jacoby is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from the State University of New York at Buffalo where he majored in drama. He enjoys participating in amateur theater productions.
Jacoby will be honored at a brunch to be held at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, April 29, inside the Niagara Frontier Country Club. Tickets are $50 each or $90 for a couple.
