Full, unedited opening ceremony posted on NBCOlympics.com & NBC Sports app
NBC Olympics has posted the world feed of the opening ceremony of the XXIII Olympic Winter Games, unedited, without announcers and in its entirety, on NBCOlympics.com and the NBC Sports app.
NBCOlympics.com and the NBC Sports app live streamed the world feed of the opening ceremony at 6 a.m. ET Friday, prior to Friday night's fully produced opening ceremony on NBC.
NBC primetime Olympics host Mike Tirico and award-winning journalist Katie Couric anchored Friday night's opening ceremony on NBC, alongside NBC Sports' Asia Analyst Joshua Cooper Ramo. Portions of the opening ceremony on NBC were edited to fit the primetime television window.
"We are proud to make the opening ceremony available in more ways than ever before, with our produced primetime NBC show, as well as the live, unedited stream on NBCOlympics.com and including an enhanced version of the NBC Sports app, which viewers can watch at any time beginning (Saturday) morning," said Rick Cordella, executive vice president and general manager, digital media, NBC Sports Group.
