As if the Island Ship Center didn't offer enough services, company owners Seema and Fahim Mojawalla report that they've completed certification to repair damaged iPhone and iPad screens.
The couple recently traveled to Atlanta for certification to fix phones - iPhones 5, 6 and 7 and iPads - with plans to certify for Android repairs.
"Each particular device has its own training session," Fahim Mojawalla said. "We have to open up the entire phone and then replace it with a new screen and make sure that the home button, the fingerprint scanner, and everything else remains intact. So it's a very tedious type of work."
He saw a need for the service when he made a post on social media in September that received 4,000 views "and so many comments about how people are needing this service on the Island."
The center, at 1879 Whitehaven Road, is running a February special for cracked screen repair service.
