Niagara River Region Chamber awards dinner slated for April 19

Annual event to honor 9 recipients
The Niagara River Region Chamber of Commerce will honor nine recipients from the northern Niagara area at its annual gala and awards dinner, Thursday, April 19, at the Niagara Falls Country Club in Lewiston. There, the chamber board of directors will present its 2018 Business and Citizen of the Year awards for the Lewiston, Youngstown, Ransomville and Sanborn communities.
The event begins at 6 p.m. with a cocktail hour and hors d'oeuvres, followed by a sit-down dinner and awards program. A silent auction will take place throughout the evening.
This year, the chamber will honor businesses and individuals from the River Region in the following categories:
•Chairman's Partnership Award - Kiwanis Club of Lewiston
•Lewiston Business of the Year - Canterbury Place
•Youngstown Business of the Year - Lakeside Quarter Horses
•Ransomville Business of the Year - Ed's Garage
•Sanborn Business of the Year - Innovative Card Solutions
•Village of Lewiston Citizen of the Year - Alexander and Colleen Swavy
•Village of Youngstown Citizen of the Year - Helen Murray
•Town of Porter Citizen of the Year - Linda White
•Town of Lewiston Citizen of the Year - David Perrault
These awards are given based on leadership, dedication and achievement in the community. Those chosen have contributed significantly to the success of the River Region.
The chamber and local business associations select the business honorees, while citizen honorees are chosen by the leadership of their individual local governments.
The dinner is open to the public. Tickets are priced at $100 per person and are available at the Niagara River Region Chamber office, 895 Center St., in the Village of Lewiston.
