Lewiston dancers collect for Heart, Love & Soul

Students and teachers from the Lewiston Dance Center recently took part in a food drive for the Heart, Love & Soul Community Kitchen. Studio owners Rachel Novelli and Kathy Abbondanza decided to try boosting donations by getting the dance instructors involved. The result was a dance contest between the instructors. The class with the most donations would win a $50 gift card.
"The donations rolled in! They collected nonperishable food items, paper and hygiene products," Novelli said.

Novelli said next up for the Dance Center is an in-studio dance workshop, featuring three instructors from Toronto and Buffalo. Contemporary, hip-hop and modern will be taught to the participating dancers. Both junior and senior sessions will be offered. For more information, email
