Nathan McMurray considering run for Congress

Sat, Dec 23rd 2017 07:00 am
Town Supervisor Nathan McMurray acknowledged this week a possible candidacy for the House of Representatives to challenge U.S. Rep. Chris Collins.
"It's not definite," McMurray said of a campaign, adding that the decision to run is "heavy on my mind."
"Listen, I think the guy is not doing a good job. I didn't have this in my cross-hairs, but it's there now and I'm afraid the candidates that are running are not going to win."
McMurray said he could "give it a good fight."
"It's the most Republican district in American," McMurray said of the 27th District. "That's what I've been told."
He said voters are sick of the partisan divide. "I think people want practical solutions."
He called Collins "the richest guy in Congress" who doesn't understand working class families.
McMurray said would need to move off the Island should he win, as GI is in the 26th District. "That's actually the biggest issue I have," he said.
