Fashion Outlets, Town of Niagara continue giving tradition

Partnership giving to local organizations for 20th year has eclipsed $1 million donated

As the holiday season approaches, many know it's called the season of giving. Around Niagara County, there are a great deal of organizations that focus on giving back to others. On Tuesday night, the Fashion Outlets of Niagara Falls, USA once again partnered up with the Town of Niagara in their annual "Giving Fashionably" event that donates to organizations who have had a meaningful impact to the Town of Niagara and community at large.
In the new addition, just in front of Saks Off 5th, Town Supervisor Lee Wallace presented checks to more than 40 local organizations, alongside Outlets Senior Manager John Doran, and councilmen Charles Teixeira, Marc Carpenter and Sam Gatto. The partnership has continued a steady trend of donating $50,000 to the organizations in 20 years of partnership, equaling out to $1 million. Doran and Wallace praised the work that the organizations have done for the community.
"You folks are doing the work that makes this community so wonderful to be a part of, to live here and to work here. On behalf of the Fashion Outlets, thank you for all of the work that you do," Doran said.
Wallace said, "All of you who are here tonight is because you qualify, or you are the ones doing the yeoman's work throughout this community and we appreciate everything that you do, and this was our chance to give back to you."
Organizations that received donations included, Niagara Active Hose Fire Co., Active Hose Exempt Firemen, the American Cancer Society, American Legion Post No. 1142, Aquarium of Niagara, Capitol Cleaners 'Coats for Kids' fund, Carolyn's House, Community Missions of Niagara Frontier, Empower, HART Interfaith, Health Association of Niagara County, Heart, Love and Soul Food Pantry, the Kiwanis Club of Niagara-Wheatfield, Mt. St. Mary's Hospital Foundation, National MS Chapter of Upstate New York, Niagara County Home Delivered Meals, Niagara County Volunteer Firemen's Association, the Niagara Arts and Cultural Center, the Niagara Falls Boys and Girls Club, Niagara Foster Grandparents program, Niagara Gospel Rescue Mission, Opportunities Unlimited of Niagara, Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, American Heart Association, Salvation Army, St. Vincent DePaul Food Pantry, St. Vincent DePaul Parish Nurse Health Care, Town of Niagara Business and Professional Association, Town of Niagara Historical Society, Town of Niagara Lioness and Lions Club, Town of Niagara Recreation Committee, United Way of Greater Niagara, Belden Center Block Club, WNY Heroes, Youngstown VFW, Relay for Life, Rivershore Inc., NICAP, and Veterans One-Stop Center of WNY Inc.
