Opera Day, with "A Celebration of Opera: Mozart to Menotti," returns to the Niagara Arts & Cultural Center's Grand Theater at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov 4.
The public is invited to attend, as the NACC features some of opera's most beloved arias from the classical, romantic and modern periods.
Shana DiCamillo organized the event. Singers will include Nick Czaplicki (baritone), Paul Waara (tenor) and Maria Goodrich, Bridget Moriarty, Audrey Shafer, Amy Shephard-Teal and Lisa Surace (sopranos).
Tickets are by donation.
The event is hosted by the NACC, Celebrate Opera WNY and the Erwin H. Johnson Memorial Fund. It is part of National Opera Week. Proceeds will be used to support continued programs at the NACC, including the restoration of the Grand Theater, where the NACC plans to continue to bring classical music and performances to Niagara Falls.

Generation: A Six Nations Play
At 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, "Generation: A Six Nations Play" will be staged in the NACC's Woodbox Theater.
Developed from the memories of Six Nations elders in Canada, Brant Theatre Workshops presents "Generation," an allegorical tale of the Six Nations experience.
The play was written through Brant Theatre Workshop's Native collaborative with workshops by acclaimed actor Gary Farmer. It is based on interviews with Six Nations elders.
"Generation" follows a child taken to the Mohawk Institute, a residential school in Brantford, Ontario, and his eventual journey to Vietnam and back. Arriving at his burnt-out home on Six Nations as an adult, he works with an "imaginary" fox named Tsitso and the children of his community to reclaim his roots through dancing language and teachings of the children. Only through the kindness of a grandmother and her family does he succeed in his quest.
Tickets are a suggested donation of $10 general admission or $5 for students, seniors and vets.
