Fantasy Island will debut its first ever "Halloween Horror" on Saturday, Sept. 30, featuring a haunted maze, a haunted house and three scare zones. The all-new event extends the regular operating season for the first time to weekends through the end of October.
"Halloween Horror" will feature family-friendly "Treats-by-day" activities from 1-5 p.m. including a trick-or-treat trail, pumpkin painting and a haybale maze, as well as Fantasy Island's regular season rides and attractions.
By night, the bravest will journey through three terror trails: "ChemiKILL Spill," a toxic scene infested with mutant zombies; "Twin City Scrap and Salvage," a blood yard where vicious vampire lurk in the shadows; and "The Feargrounds," where crazy carnies and killer clowns set up shop in an abandoned amusement park. Guests can also visit a multi-room haunted house experience, "Savage City," where an entire community mysteriously turned savage.
The event also features live entertainment, including a haunted version of the park's "Western Town Shootout," titled "Dr. Gloom and the Labcoats," a Halloween-inspired rock 'n' roll showcase, and "The Awakening," a choreographed performance set to music where all the monsters come alive.
"Oktoberfest is proving to be a favorite amongst our guests, and we're ready to double-down on that excitement with the debut of 'Halloween Horror,' " General Manager Chris Kearsing said. "We can't wait for guests to experience this event for the first time."
Admission to the event is included with a paid park admission or a 2017 season pass. For more information, visit www.fantasyislandny.com.
