"Tuesday Concerts in Island Park" is a free concert series in Williamsville this summer. Island Park is located behind Amherst Town Hall at 5583 Main St., in the Village of Williamsville. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy music, rain or shine, on the following Tuesday nights this summer:
- July 18 - Williamsville Community Band
- July 25 - Jonah Krull (pop hits)
- Aug. 1 - Amherst Symphony Orchestra
- Aug. 8 - Jasmine Quintet (jazz)
- Aug. 15 - Buffalo Dolls (swing/1940s)
- Aug. 22 - Friends of Harmony (a-cappella ensemble)
- Aug. 29 - Anderson Big Band
In case of rain, the concerts will be held under the pavilion in the park, or, for the Williamsville Community Band or Amherst Symphony Orchestra, at Williamsville South High School's auditorium.
Music starts at 6:30 p.m. and goes until about 8 p.m. Most nights should feature an ice cream truck, and the Williamsville Library selling hot dogs, hamburgers, popcorn and pop.
Dick Rich and Mark Weber of the Village Arts & Culture Committee organize the events. This is the fourth year in a row for "Tuesday Concerts in Island Park."
