Raises scholarship funds for the longest-running community leadership program in New York
Leadership Niagara will host its 10th annual golf tournament, Friday, July 28, at the Oak Run Golf Club, 4185 Lake Ave., Lockport. The event is designed to fund scholarships for future members of LN's leadership and professional development programs.
"Everyone is invited to come and enjoy a great day of golfing and networking," event co-chair Rob Richards said. "We have a great lineup of participants, sponsors and raffle prizes. The best part is you don't even have to be a golfer to come have a great time!"
The tournament is supported, in part, by Covanta Energy and Calspan. A cocktail hour, provided by Savarino Companies, is also included.
Proceeds from the golf tournament directly support LN programs and participant tuition.
"The event is great way to gain valuable exposure to over 100 leaders in our community. By joining us for a day of golf, your support will help us invest in people from our community and give them the tools to become great leaders," LN President and CEO Liz Zulawski said.
Corporate, individual and team sponsorship opportunities are available. Donations are welcomed and appreciated. The tournament will be a four-person scramble.
Tournament day check-in begins at 9 a.m., with a shotgun start at 10 a.m. Entrance fees are $125 per player, or $450 per foursome, and include lunch, greens fees, cart fees, beer on the course, a steak dinner and a keepsake gift. Non-golfers have the option of joining for dinner for $50.
