•The Rotary Club of Niagara County Central will hold a "Shred Your Sensitive Documents Day" from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 3, in the Sanborn Fire Co. parking lot. Any questions, please call the Rotary Club at 716-693-1946.
 
•Attention veterans: Niagara County Veterans Service Officer Christopher Butler will be available at Town Hall on the afternoon of Wednesday, June 21. Learn about the benefits for which you or members of your family may be entitled.
 
To schedule a private benefits session, contact the clerk's office at 716-754-8213, ext. 222.
 
•The Niagara County Department of Health, in cooperation with the Niagara County Veterinary Society, will sponsor a free rabies immunization clinic from 9-11 a.m. Saturday, June 10, at the Hyde Park Oasis/Centennial Pavilion in Niagara Falls. For more information, call 716-286-4940.
 
•Lewiston snowbirds: The U.S. Post Office will not forward your water bill. To avoid receiving your water bill late, or the possibility of not receiving it at all, the Water Department asks anyone returning to Lewiston to contact them to change the bill back to your home address. Call 716-754-8213, ext. 235 or 236.
 
•The clerk's office issues parking permits for the disabled to Town of Lewiston residents only. Village residents need to apply at the village office. An application must be completed by a licensed physician, submitted to the clerk's office with identification (driver's license), and a permit will be issued.
 
•A Salvation Army drop-off box has been placed in the Town Hall parking lot, and at the Senior Center (4361 Lower River Road). Clothing, shoes and household items are all acceptable. Thank you for your anticipated donations.
 
•On Monday, June 12, the Town Board will hold its monthly work session starting at 6 p.m. June's regular Town Board meeting will be held starting at 6 p.m. on June 26.
 
•The town has received a form from the Niagara County Fire Coordinator's Office regarding shore erosion issues. Anyone living on the lower river who has any type of shore erosion should complete the form and forward it to the county. The form can be found on the town website (www.townoflewiston.us) under "Upcoming Events."
 
•The Town of Lewiston Highway Department has updated its email address. It is [email protected]. The Highway Department is asking town residents to not place large stones, lawn ornaments or decorations on the town right-of-way.
