Morinello invites area residents to give gift of life
Assemblyman Angelo Morinello will sponsor a blood drive, in conjunction with the American Red Cross, on Thursday, June 1. The event will be held from 2-6 p.m. at the Red Brick Municipal Building, at 145 N. Fourth St., Lewiston.
"The demand for blood is year-round, but especially critical in the summer months when blood supplies typically decline," Morinello said. "I encourage people to take a little time out to give the gift of life."
To donate blood, individuals must be at least 17 years old (16 years with parental consent), weigh at least 110 pounds and in be in general good health.
"By working together, we can save the lives of those in need," Morinello said.
Donors are encouraged to call toll-free 1-800-RED-CROSS to schedule an appointment. Walk-ins are welcome.
