Fri, May 26th 2017 05:15 pm
The Town of Porter/Village of Youngstown Republican Committee, in partnership with VFW Lake Ontario Post 313, held a "Green Light for Vets" giveaway Saturday, May 20, in the Melloni's Market Place parking lot in Youngstown.

Party GOP Chair John "Duffy" Johnston reported committee members passed out more than 100 green LED lights to veterans and residents who sought to honor a veteran. Close to 200 pounds of nonperishable food items were collected for the Ransomville Care-N-Share pantry.

Johnston said there will be another green light giveaway on Saturday, June 10, at the Ransomville Bicentennial Community Faire.

This project is made possible, thanks to donations by Anzalone Electric, Baker Farms, VFW Post 313 and the Pollow, Butch Johnston, Dowd, Stevens, Carminati, Adamson, Costello and Duffy Johnston families.
