The Castellani Art Museum will host its next "Meet Me at the CAM" event, titled "The Crucifix: Religious Image and Art Object," from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, April 11.

Mary Walsh Meany, a retired religious studies professor from Siena College, will be the guest speaker. She received her Ph.D. from Fordham University, where she studied church history. Her interest in the image of the crucifix began with her dissertation on "The Image of Christ in Julian of Norwich." She is a member of the study-group Women in the Franciscan Tradition, which meets annually at the International Congress of Medieval Studies in Kalamazoo.

The event is free for Castellani Art Museum and Niagara Arts and Cultural Center members, as well as Niagara University students, faculty and staff. A $5 donation is suggested for nonmembers. Light refreshments will be served.

Membership sign-up is available at the registration table at each lecture.
