This week, Republican Assemblyman Angelo J. Morinello was assigned to an additional committee for the 2017-18 legislative session. Morinello will now serve on the labor committee in addition to his previous committee assignments, which include committees on codes, higher education, housing and tourism, and veterans' affairs (where he is the ranking minority member).

"I am thrilled to have been assigned to the Assembly's labor committee, and be able to more directly advocate for my brothers and sisters in the labor community," Morinello said. "Niagara Falls is full of hard-working men and women employed in the labor industry, and this additional committee assignment will further expand the reach of their voice. Laborers are the builders of our community, and it is important that legislators look after them."

Richard Palladino, business manager fir Laborers Local No. 91, said, "Laborers Local No. 91 is appreciative of the appointment of Angelo Morinello to the labor committee. Angelo is regarded as a quality individual that we have recognized for a long time. There is no doubt that he will fulfill all the expectations and aspirations that we have in support of this appointment."
