Rotary Club of Grand Island: District governor welcomed

Rotarian Henry Kammerer reported that, at the Sept. 14 meeting, Rotary District Gov. Marlee Diehl provided a heartfelt plea for support of Rotary activities, such as helping the Rotary Foundation in its 100th year - particularly to help with polio eradication.

On Saturday, Rotary Club members were selling water bottles and pop during the Taste of Grand Island. Next up for the Grand Island Rotary Club, members and volunteers will hold the club's annual Beaver Island Parkway cleanup the morning of Saturday, Oct. 15.

The Rotary District Conference is Oct. 21-22 in Batavia.
