Northgate to host dizziness and balance seminar

The McGuire Group's Northgate Health Care Facility, 7264 Nash Road, North Tonawanda, will host a free seminar on Dizziness and Balance Disorders Tuesday, Oct. 20, at 4 p.m.

The seminar will be presented by neurologist and director of the Dizziness and Balance Center at DENT Neurologic Institute, Dr. Lixin Zhang, and will include a lecture, a Q&A session, refreshments and a facility tour.

Zhang focuses on treating and researching balance disorders, dizziness, vertigo, sleep medicine, epilepsy and general neurology. He has been involved in multiple national clinical research studies and is currently working on new projects focusing on Meniere's disease, which is migraine-associated vertigo and imbalance in the elderly.

The McGuire Group's Northgate Health Care Facility offers outpatient therapy to help patients remain physically strong and learn proper techniques for avoiding issues caused by dizziness and imbalance. Its therapists work with patients and their doctors to treat each specific diagnosis.
