The St. Francis Guild of Mount St. Mary's Hospital will hold its 35th annual Pink Elephant Luncheon and Auction on Saturday, Oct. 17, at the Niagara Falls Country Club.

Event co-chairs are area residents Rosemary Dann, Janet Furlong and Jean Rosenberg. The emergency room physicians of TeamHealth at Mount St. Mary's are honorary chairs.

The proceeds from the event will be used for the construction of a new helipad on the hospital campus that will enhance the transfer of critically ill or injured patients. An array of gifts will be displayed beginning at 10:30 a.m., followed by the luncheon at noon. Tickets are $40 per person.

"This is our 35th year and we want it be an event to remember," said Dann, treasurer of The St. Francis Guild. "Everyone has done a great job in getting some really different gifts that we know people will enjoy. The support from local businesses and our sponsors has been tremendous. We thank them all."

Organizers are still accepting donations of gift items and certificates. Those wishing to make a donation can call 716-298-2144.

For ticket information, call the volunteer office at 716-298-2145 or stop by the hospital gift shop in the main lobby.
