In advance of the 2015 Thunder of Niagara Air Show, featured performers from the U.S Air Force Thunderbirds and U.S. Army Golden Knights are visiting the community.

On Thursday, members of the U.S. Army Golden Knights parachute demonstration team were set to visit with students in the summer art program at the Buffalo Center for Arts and Technology. The Golden Knights were to conduct a hands-on parachute demonstration, show a video with highlights of its mission and answer questions about the Army.

On Friday, members of the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds aerial demonstration team will meet with campers, counselors and staff from Camp Kenan in Barker. At this time, the Thunderbird team will present a video of its mission and answer questions campers might have about the Air Force and life as a member of the Thunderbird team.

These types of visits to local communities are a way for these team members to educate, recruit and thank the community for its support of servicemen and servicewomen.
