A sure sign of spring is the return of potholes on area streets and roadways.
With the long-anticipated break in winter weather at hand, crews with the Town of Lewiston Highway Department are now working their way across the town to address the potholes.
"By filling them when they are small, you can avoid holes becoming real traffic hazards or damaging cars," Town of Lewiston Highway Superintendent Doug Janese said. He is shown working with equipment operator Brent Walck. "While we are trying to fix all the holes, I want to encourage our residents to report any new ones that may pop up, so we can repair them as soon as possible."
