Sacred Heart Villa School's motto is "Where Learning Begins."

Interested parents are invited to visit the Sacred Heart Villa registration and open house Saturday, Aug. 23, from 2 to 5 p.m., at the campus, located on 5269 Lewiston Road, to find out more.

There are many reasons to consider a small Christian school for an elementary education. Among them, Sacred Heart wants parents to understand the value in more intimate class sizes, individualized instruction, various pre-K options, both before and after school care, as well as "a warm, loving family environment that is committed to Christian and academic excellence."

Mandatory uniformed clothing for students contributes to the loving environment by eliminating some of the societal pressure that children may feel in a public school environment.

"Sacred Heart Villa School strives to help each child develop his/her physical, mental, moral and spiritual natures" by offering options outside of an academic setting to keep students occupied and happy, according to shvilla.org.

Among its offerings is an up-to-date computer lab, accessible under the guidance of a technology instructor; plus ballet, music, soccer and Christian karate under Sacred Heart Villa's extracurricular/sport options for students.

"Sacred Heart Villa School strives to help each child develop his/her physical, mental, moral and spiritual natures," school officials note.

Religious courses are available from second until fifth grades.

After attending Sacred Heart, 90 percent of its graduates continue their education at Catholic schools. The academic rigor and educational expectations properly prepare students for the rest of their schooling down the road.
