As the crisp chill hits the air and the colored leaves fall to the ground, the ghosts and goblins of Lewiston's historic past begin to creep out of the dark night - especially around Halloween.

Head over to the Barton Hill Hotel, 100 Center St., on Monday, Oct. 24, to hear local ghost stories firsthand from the renowned Marble Orchard Players from the Lewiston Council on the Arts. The entire 6:30 p.m. presentation will be conducted inside the hotel, so there is no walking or dealing with the outdoor elements. Patrons can be comfortable and scared at the same time.

This historical and educational night is not one to miss, so bring your friends for a free night of fascinating stories about Lewiston's haunted past. The event is free to attend and refreshments will be available.
