WNY health care leaders to talk future of services at forum hosted by HEF

Healthcare Executive Forum, local chapter of American College of Healthcare Executives, inviting top care leaders to D’Youville’s new hub to discuss local health care challenges

Some of Western New York’s top health care leaders from organizations such as Kaleida Health, Catholic Health, Independent Health, D’Youville University and Health Catalyst will present and take questions during a half-day forum hosted by the Healthcare Executive Forum of WNY at D’Youville’s Health Professions Hub, located at 301 Connecticut St., Buffalo.

The forum, titled “Healthcare 2024: Adapting to a Changing Landscape,” will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25. It is open to all and offers face-to-face credit for ACHE members. More than 100 professionals from across WNY’s for-profit and not-for-profit health care sectors are expected to attend, as well as those in academia and other organizations.

Presenting at the event will be John Rodgers, executive vice president and COO, Independent Health; Wendy Allen-Thompson, vice president and chief nursing officer, Kaleida Health; David Markiewicz, vice president, physician integration and practice management, Catholic Health; Lauri McCoy, business development manager, Catholic Health; C. J. Urlaub, senior vice president and president of Mount St. Mary’s Hospital, Catholic Health; Rebecca McCormick-Boyle, chief integration o­fficer, Catholic Health; Renee Cadzow, professor of health administration, D'Youville University; Margaret Paroski, president and CEO, Catholic Medical Partners; and Cathy Menkiena, senior vice president and general manager NE, Health Catalyst.

A press release stated, “The Healthcare Executive Forum has annually put on a forward-looking event at year-end, but it has been relegated to online meetings during the pandemic years. This will be the first time in several years that the forum will take place in an in-person setting, with expectations that it will be the largest event of its kind to date.

D’Youville University is sponsoring the event, while providing a unique venue at its Health Professions Hub. The hub is an education, training and community health center embedded in Buffalo’s west side where students, medical professionals and community members can come together.
