Coronavirus stats for May 26

Niagara County

Niagara County’s Department of Health issued the following update on positive COVID-19 cases in Niagara County:

  • 4 new positive cases between Monday and Tuesday, 64 from Friday to Sunday, for a total of 1,004 positives to date (isolations + recoveries + deaths)
  • 309 active cases (293 isolating at home, 16 in a hospital)
  • 636 recovered
  • 59 deaths (no change)

Erie County

As of 5 p.m. Monday, Erie County had a total of 5,690 confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 58 on Grand Island and 2,209 in the City of Buffalo. To date, 46,573 people have been tested (12.2% positive), with 480 deaths attributed to the coronavirus. Also, 41,240 people have taken an antibody test (7.6% positive).
