The Taste of Buffalo presented by Tops is now accepting applications for its annual scholarship program to support Western New York-area high school seniors aspiring to careers in the foodservice and hospitality industries. This year’s program will award five recipients with a $1,000 scholarship to be applied toward their room, board, books and fees.

“The Taste of Buffalo’s scholarship program is a crucial part of fulfilling our mission as a nonprofit – and it’s one of the most rewarding things our organization does each year,” said 2020 Taste of Buffalo Chair Erin Collins. “Since we started this scholarship program in 1997, the Taste of Buffalo and its partners have awarded more than $92,000 to help students in these fields.”

To be eligible for any of the above scholarships, students must be residents of Erie, Niagara, Orleans, Wyoming, Genesee, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus or Allegany counties and have enrolled in a two- or four-year college in a foodservice or hospitality degree program. For additional scholarship criteria and to download an application, visit www.tasteofbuffalo.com. The application deadline is Tuesday, April 21. Selected recipients will be notified no later than May 5.
