Grand Island Chamber of Commerce: State of the Town forum Jan. 30

Sat, Jan 11th 2020 07:00 am

The Grand Island Chamber of Commerce has announced the second annual State of the Town and Schools event.

The event will be held on Thursday, Jan. 30, from 10 to 11:45 a.m. at the Buffalo Launch Club, located at 503 East River Road.

According to the chamber, “At this point in history it is as important as ever for the business community to be actively involved and well represented before our town government and school district. This event is an excellent opportunity to hear what each has planned for the future, as well as have your questions answered and voices heard. It is also a great chance for our local businesses to do a little networking and build relationships that help us get to know each other better. Building stronger relationships certainly will contribute to future success. Given these things, we ask that you really make an effort to join us at this event!”

For chamber members, the admission charged is waived for up to two guests from the organization. Additional guests or those who are not Chamber of Commerce members will have the $15 admission charge apply.

Grand Island Town Supervisor John Whitney, Superintendent of Schools Brian Graham, and Chamber of Commerce President Eric Fiebelkorn will have 15 minutes to present the plans for the upcoming year; a question and answer period will follow. To submit questions, email to [email protected] by Jan. 29 and the question will be asked on your behalf at the event. Those who plan to attend can submit questions at the registration table.

Light refreshments will be served.
