Lake Shore Savings Bank awards $14,000 in grants to local nonprofit organizations

Lake Shore Bancorp Inc., the holding company for Lake Shore Savings Bank, recently announced the bank awarded $14,000 in grants to local nonprofit organizations throughout Erie and Chautauqua counties.

The following organizations were recipients of the latest grant awards:

  • Food Bank of WNY
  • Chautauqua Opportunities
  • Robert H Jackson Center
  • United Way of Northern Chautauqua County
  • Boutwell Hill Ski Club Inc.
  • Feed The Children (and Senior Citizens)Program
  • Northlake Family Recreation Center
  • SABAH
  • Seneca Street CDC
  • Chautauqua County Office for the Aging

The bank’s community reinvestment committee, comprised of four members from the local communities, is charged with reviewing all submitted grant applications, and ultimately deciding the nonprofits to receive grant awards, which are awarded twice a year. Employees of Lake Shore Savings Bank do not play a role in the decision-making process.
