Last Saturday, 75 future leaders from Niagara University’s Student Government Association were in the north and south ends of Niagara Falls to decorate for the holiday season.

NUSGA collaborated with the South End Housing Initiative to place wreaths on every telephone pole from Fourth Street to Portage Road (Pine Avenue to Niagara Street) and decorate throughout the area.

In the city’s bridge district, NUSGA teamed up with Blue Cardinal Capital to hang lights and decorations on the front of the Public Safety Building on Main Street. The Main Street Business Association supplied the items.

“This is an example of NU and its students’ commitment to Niagara Falls and its revitalization,” said Patricia Wrobel, executive director of Niagara University’s Levesque Institute for Civic Engagement. “We were very pleased to collaborate with our community partners to bring holiday goodwill to these two neighborhoods in the downtown areas.”
