Lockport CARES is in need of shift volunteers to help at the homeless shelters. Lockport CARES currently is at full capacity and the admission line is turning people in need away, because of lack of volunteers.

A press release reported, “We currently have only 55 active volunteers to fill the 186, three- to four-hour shifts per month that we currently need. CARES needs a minimum of 44 more people to volunteer in order to open the second shelter. Can you help? Shelter tour, orientation and training provided. Please visit our website, lockportcares.org, or visit us on Facebook for information on how you can help.”
