Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center this week donated 25 hospital beds that are no longer used by the medical center to the Father Isaac Foundation, a Niagara Falls-based charity that supports the provision of free medical care to impoverished areas of sub-Saharan Africa, especially Nigeria.
A work group from the Father Isaac Foundation spent Monday afternoon packing the beds into a truck for ground transport to New York City. From there they will be sent by cargo ship to Nigeria.
