Lion Regina Cecconi was elected district governor of Lions District 20-N at the Multiple District 20 Convention held in Binghamton. She was recently inducted by Lions International President Dr. Jung-Yul Choi at the Lions International Convention in Milan, Italy.

As district governor, Cecconi will oversee 45 Lions Clubs, one Lioness Club, and six Leo Clubs located in Niagara, Erie, Chautauqua and Cattaraugus counties.

Cecconi joined the Lewiston Community Lions Club in 2014 and served three terms as president. At the district level, she has also served as guiding Lion, zone chair, second and first vice governor.

“This is an exciting time here for our local Lions Clubs. Various membership opportunities are available,” Cecconi said. “For those who want to serve and cannot commit to a specific club’s schedule, we are organizing and chartering Lions specialty clubs. These unique clubs will be chartered under Lions Clubs International model of ‘Your Club, Your Way.’ The specialty Lions Club members set their meeting schedule, set their goals, and set their activity level.”

All individuals, ages 18 and over, are welcome to join and serve with the Lions. Students under the age of 18 are welcome to join or create a Leo Club in their school or community.
