The Niagara Falls Community Development Department recently announced the third installment of its “What’s the 311?” event series, following “What’s the 311?” skate and senior days. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Niagara Falls High School, 4455 Porter Road (enter through door No. 3).
“We are welcoming the community to a family-focused event as we advance our 311 project and redefine what a public meeting looks like,” said Seth Piccirillo, director of Niagara Falls Community Development.
As part of the city’s Responsible Investment and Strategic Enforcement (RISE) grant, NFCD has been creating new styles of community engagement events. Attendees are asked to give ideas and feedback on a plan to create a Niagara Falls 311 system, and then enjoy a day filled with family fun.
This event is free to residents of the City of Niagara Falls. NFCD is currently competing for a grant that can fund a citywide 311 system, which would better connect citizens to municipal services and increase government accountability.
