United Way of Greater Niagara (UWGN) will host its annual “Day of Caring” from 8:30 a.m. to noon Wednesday, June 26. The communitywide event, sponsored by National Grid, will host over 200 volunteers who will come together to work on projects benefiting dozens of nonprofit agencies throughout Niagara County.

“As a United Way tradition, ‘The Day of Caring’ is always a day dedicated to improving the community through a variety of projects that are critical to the ongoing success of so many vital nonprofits in the Niagara Region,” said Connie Brown, president and CEO of UWGN. “It’s through the help and commitment of our many incredible volunteers that we’re able to truly make an impact on the agencies we serve each and every day.”

Following the event, UWGN will host a volunteer appreciation picnic at its headquarters at 6420 Inducon Drive, Sanborn. The event will also include an agency fair, which will showcase all the programs supported by UWGN. The American Red Cross’s Mobile Blood Bus will be on site from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
