Pappas & City of North Tonawanda announce new boat kiosk launch

Thu, May 9th 2019 01:55 pm

City of North Tonawanda Mayor Arthur G. Pappas will join city officials for the new boat kiosk launch at Gratwick Riverside Park at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 14.

The kiosk was donated by Bob Confer of Confer Plastics. It enables boaters to purchase a one-day parking permit for their boat trailer at the cost of $5, an alternate option to buying a season pass. The boaters are instructed to place the receipt ticket on the driver side dash of their vehicles as proof of permit.

The ticket will have the expiration date on the receipt, which will be viewable. Though the kiosk is located at Gratwick Park, any boater is capable of purchasing a temporary permit and launching at anyone of the three sites located at the Botanical Garden, Service Drive and Gratwick Riverside Park.
