State Independence Party makes endorsements in town races

The New York State Independence Party announced their endorsements for the 2019 election in the Town of Grand Island. Pictured, from left:

Town Clerk: Patricia Frentzel

Town Justice: Mark Nemeth

Councilman: Tom Digati

With over 31 years of experience Whitney held the position of town engineer and department head for the Engineering and Water Resources Department.

Digati “is committed to serving Grand Island residents with dedication, integrity, and respect and putting the community first. His professional experience and devotion to this community make him well suited to be a strong and responsible leader of in Grand Island,” the Independence Party endorsement announcement said.

Mike Madigan is a senior project manager working in the private sector, a GI volunteer fireman certified in EMS, and is a member of the GI Town Council. “Mike’s independent voting record reflects his core values of ethics, honesty and transparency, less government intervention, lower taxes and striving to maintain the open green living spaces that make Grand Island special,” the party announcement stated

Frentzel is “highly regarded for providing excellent customer service to our residents of Grand Island. In addition to her daily operations for the town, her office is an authorized passport acceptance office and E-ZPass retailer,” the announcement said.

The Independence Party endorsement announcement said that, “As the town prosecutor for 15 years Nemeth has fought for justice in Grand Island. He knows the importance of civic responsibility and is devoted to serving the people.”

The New York State Primary Day is Tuesday, June 25.
