Erie County Executive Mark C. Poloncarz announced a slate of county public works projects that are planned for 2019 on Monday, March 25. This year, Erie County will spend over $40 million to maintain and repair county roads along with bridges and other structures, including curbing and drainage. The work will be completed by the Erie County Department of Public Works and is scheduled to begin as soon as the weather allows.

Erie County Legislator Kevin Hardwick is proud to announce the following projects in the town of Grand Island:

•Baseline Road, from Whitehaven to East River.

•Love Road, from East River to West River.

•Bush Road, from East River to West River.

Hardwick said, “The county road system has yet to recover from the effects of the Red and Green Budget fiasco of 2005. But together with the Ellicott Creek Road project, which has been carried over from last year, resurfacing these additional roads will go a long way towards improving our highway system.”

There will be additional projects including road patching that are not included in this announcement but to be expected.
