The 2019 Wheatfield Business Association officers were recently installed at Yubb’s Restaurant. The elections, along with the selection of the organization’s Business Person of the Year and Business of the Year were held at the WBA’s annual Christmas party.

The Hon. Gary Strenkoski administered the oath to the administering officers; President Rob Allen, Vice President Jim Candella, Treasurer Gilles Dube and Secretary Danny Maerten – also serving as membership chair. Those recently elected to a three-year term included, Jeff Taylor, Mike Doktor and Tom Grimm.

Jeff Kasper of WNY Synthetics was awarded Business Person of the Year. The business featured Amsoil products and specializes in synthetic motor oil for cars, trucks, motorcycles and snowmobiles. Awarding the Business of the Year was Dan the Man, who specializes in custom screen printing, custom embroidery, trophies and awards at the location on Pine Avenue. Dan the Man now runs an old themed Ice Cream Parlor on Niagara Falls Boulevard in Wheatfield. Additionally, this location looks to include kiddie rides hopefully to be ready for the summer season.
