Niagara Falls State Park again offering prime viewing of 'Cascade of Fire' displays

Niagara Falls State Park will again be offering free prime viewing of the "Cascades of Fire" International Fireworks Competition for the upcoming weekend. Each show will begin at 9 p.m. and run approximately 18 minutes. The schedule is as follows:
  • Friday, Nov. 16: Team Finland
  • Saturday, Nov. 17: Team Brazil
  • Sunday, Nov. 18: Fireworks display this night is from the lower Niagara Gorge where the regular fireworks series happens. This display is not visible from lot 3. Best viewing for is from the Terrapin Point/ Cave of the Winds/Prospect Point area. This display will run only 10 minutes and is not included in the competition. Note that some areas may be closed due to icing.
Free parking for Friday and Saturday will be available in lot No. 2 on Goat Island and there will be free trolley shuttles to lot 3, where viewers will be as close as possible to the displays that will take place on the international control dam. Simulcast of the synchronized music will be available, as well as light refreshments. Guests are free to bring chairs and blankets.
For safety reasons, vehicle traffic will be prohibited in lot 3.
Park Police advise motorists not to stop along the Niagara Scenic Parkway or Riverway during the displays and instead encourage everyone to enjoy from lot 3 or designated parking areas along the parkway.
