Store offers customers energy-efficient products throughout New York
New York State Electric & Gas Corp. (NYSEG), a subsidiary of AVANGRID Inc., now offers NYSEG "Smart Solutions," an online store that gives customers access to energy-efficient products and instant rebates. The store is specifically designed to bring customers more choices for saving energy and money, improving the comfort and safety of their homes, and reducing their carbon footprint.
The store was initially launched last year in Tompkins County, where hundreds of NYSEG customers purchased energy-efficient products.
NYSEG customers can browse, compare and securely purchase energy-efficient products and take advantage of instant rebates that are offered on products. This can make it more affordable and convenient to save energy on products such as LED lightbulbs and smart thermostats that allow one to remotely control energy usage while home or away through apps on devices.
Customers with NYSEG electric service and central air conditioning can save even more by using the one-click enrollment feature in the "Smart Savings Rewards" demand response program. The "Smart Savings Rewards" instant enrollment incentive is available on select devices. Customers can purchase other smart thermostats on the online store and enroll in "Smart Savings Rewards" after their thermostat is installed. Additional product and service offerings will evolve over time.

"This online store helps customers compare offerings from the convenience of their homes."
