Youth flag football is coming to Niagara Falls, thanks to a grant from the Buffalo Bills Foundation. The flag football league will start in July 2019 as part of the department's "Summer In Your City" series.
"Our goal is to provide fun and constructive events in our city parks," said Seth Piccirillo, director of community development. "Thanks to the Buffalo Bills Foundation, we will be bringing a new activity to our young people in 2019."
Niagara Falls is one of 20 new flag football leagues supported by this competitive grant from the Buffalo Bills Foundation. NFL FLAG Football Powered by USA Football provides a fun, noncontact football experience for boys and girls ages 5-17.
League schedules and details will be announced by the Niagara Falls Community Development Department in March 2019. Anyone interested in coaching a team, or learning more about the program, can contact Piccirillo at [email protected] or 716-286-8800.
