From 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16, join the Castellani Art Museum of Niagara University for a hands-on workshop to learn about ebru - Turkish paper marbling - led by Hatice Erbas-Sorkunlu.
Ebru is a traditional art where paint is floated in a tray of water and different tools and techniques are used to make unique designs on the surface, before being transferred to paper.
During this hands-on workshop, participants will be introduced to the tradition and have the opportunity to make and take their own ebru works.
Pre-registration is required, as space is limited. Supplies are included in the registration fee: $5 for general public adult, and free for children, CAM members, NU faculty and staff.
To register or for more information, contact Edward Y. Millar, curator of folk arts, at 716-286-8290.
