Dale Association honors

The Dale Association, 33 Ontario St., Lockport, will host its annual meeting and awards ceremony at 6 p.m. Nov. 15. The agency will offer "A State of The Dale Association," and present awards to individuals or groups who have been instrumental in the agency's success. The public is invited to attend. The Dale Association is also looking for nominations of individuals or groups for consideration for one of the following Annual Awards:
•The Bette Dale Service Award is presented annually to an individual or group who has shown a commitment to the older adult community. The award is designed to recognize the spirit of service exemplified by Bette Dale, the Lockport Senior Centre's first paid executive director.
•The Millicent Russell Award is designed to honor Millicent Russell, the first volunteer executive director of the Golden Age Club, which evolved into the Senior Centre. A nurse by profession, Millicent's life was dedicated to enhancing community health care. This award is presented to an individual, group or organization demonstrating a commitment to enhancing community health care access and partnership.
•The Teamwork Award is designed to recognize organizations, businesses or individuals who work collaboratively to demonstrate an outstanding commitment to The Dale Association.
•The Mental Health Hero Award is presented to an individual, group or organization who has demonstrated a commitment to the mental health community.
