The Village of Youngstown is cleaning the streets, getting out the flags and is pleased to announce the annual Labor Day Parade will start at noon on Main Street on Sept. 3.
The parade has been a local tradition for more than 100 years. This year, it features community pride with local musicians, businesses and groups on homemade floats, riding units and even adorable pets. It is a celebration of community: of labor; of local history and waterfront heritage; of rich and varied agriculture; of commerce; and of family.
An after-party at the Ontario House, Youngstown's historic "Stone Jug" tavern, will offer family fare, including a bounce house, face painting, grilled food and live music.
Youngstown welcomes everyone to celebrate the season on the last day of summer vacation.
