Nurses honored at Mount St. Mary's

Sibilla Strovers named Nurse of Distinction, Jessica Nowakowski earns Daisy Award
Mount St. Mary's Hospital has recognized two of its registered nurses with awards for excellence.
Sibilla Strovers, R.N., maternity, received the hospital's "Nurse of Distinction" recognition. Strovers has been a nurse at Mount St. Mary's for 25 years. The award is presented in conjunction with the Professional Nurses Association of Western New York. Honorees are selected for their work within their clinical practice, demonstrated leadership and participation in activities that foster a positive image of nursing as a profession.
Jessica Nowakowski, R.N., emergency department, was presented the DAISY Award. Nowakowski was nominated for the award by the family of a child in her care. The DAISY Award is recognized nationally in the nursing profession to provide recognition to "Extraordinary Nurses Providing Extraordinary Care."
