On Monday night at the "Music Mania Mondays" concert series in the Town of Niagara, six students were awarded scholarships by the Town of Niagara Business & Professional Association.
The scholarship has now grown to six winners, after it was two and then four in the past.
The winners included Callista Zayatz, Kelsey Lachowski and Amanda Waliszewski, all of Niagara-Wheatfield High School.
Zayatz, valedictorian of the Class of 2018, will attend the University at Buffalo, while Lachowski and Waliszewski will attend Niagara County Community College and D'Youville College, respectively.
Next was Michael Sanders Jr. of Niagara Catholic High School. Sanders, who could not attend due to an ecology trip in Puerto Rico, was represented by his parents, Michael Sr. and Lisa, and will attend the Rochester Institute of Technology.
Next was Santino Manzare of Niagara Falls High School. Manzare will attend St. Leo University in Florida.
The final winner was Teresa Buchner of Niagara Catholic. Buchner will attend SUNY Fredonia.
