Upcoming blood drive set for Wednesday, April 25
On Wednesday, April 25, the Erie County clerk's office is teaming up with Unyts to host a blood drive at the Eastern Hills Mall Auto Bureau. The blood drive will take place from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. at the Eastern Hills Unyts Donation Center, across the hall from the auto bureau. To schedule an appointment to donate, visit unytsblooddonor.org and use code 001552, or call Unyts at 716-512-7940.
April is National Donate Life Month. The Erie County clerk's office is a proud partner with Unyts, continuing to inform and promote signing up for the organ donor registry.
The Erie County clerk's office reports there was an unprecedented 60 percent increase in organ donor registrants between April 2017 and March 2018.
All blood donations through Unyts stay right in Western New York. The blood collected at these blood drives is sent to local hospitals for life-saving blood transfusions. One pint of blood donated can help save up to three lives.
